Saturday, we played and spent the morning together. Then, Brynn went to Katie Bingham's birthday for just a short time and then we were off to the zoo to see the animals and meet some friends for dinner.
They are a neat family. He is Chinese and she is Japanese. He is a co-worker of Bryce's at Lilly and we met them very soon after we arrived last year. She speaks great English and they have two sweet children. They are preparing to go on an assignment to the US and will be in Indianapolis for the next 2 years or so. We were glad to meet with them, share some tips and thoughts about Indy, enjoy a perfect meal prepared by her, and see all the animals at the zoo. We had a great time!
Yes, this is a female lion literally close enough to smell her breath. Luckily, there was a thick piece of glass between her and my offspring that to her I am sure looked like many pieces of fine meat! Hey we are grade A USDA!
This little koala was sleeping like that. It was so cute! Of course, not as cute as my koala's in the picture below :0)
