Bowling, Birthdays, Ballet and Brothers

December was time for fun in the Bowman household. This year, we celebrated the two oldest kiddos' birthdays at the bowling alley with their closest friends. Funniest part for Bryce and I.....both kids had boys and girls invited....Isaac had only one boy and the rest were girls. Pretty good odds if you ask us :0) The kids were great, everyone had a blast, I didn't have to plan much other than the food and treat bags, and it was stress free. I think we should do more of these in the future!

Brynn had her ballet recital in December, too. She did a beautiful job and we enjoyed seeing her perform. She loves ballet and I am just so glad she decided to go back to it this year.

December is also our busiest month for birthdays! What were we thinking back 11 and 9 years ago :0) Brynn's birthday was on the 14th. She is such a joy and blessing to our family. I couldn't ask for a better Mommy's helper or a better kiddo to cook and craft with. I so enjoy that child! She has been quite the big sister to Cade. She is often found hiding in her room with him asleep in her arms. It is her favorite thing to do....put him to sleep and then hide so we can't take him away from her to put him in his crib. He certainly doesn't mind the attention, either. Brynn is also our artsy-fartsy child as we lovingly call her. If she isn't spoiling her baby brother, helping me in the kitchen or with a friend, she is making any number of creations. We are proud of her!

Isaac also has a December birthday on the 16th. His birthday just happened to fall on the last day of school before Winter Break, too. What luck! Isaac is our comedian....this is fitting because his name means, "he who laughs" or "he will laugh". Most of the time, this is a good thing. However, sometimes, when trying to be serious or have a talk with him, not so good! He is a great big brother and has a heart of gold. When he loves, you know it! Isaac is a bit more hesitant in social situations and in trying new things but if he finds that he has a passion for something, there is little to deter him. He is so much like me, it is scary....whether it comes his love of animals and family, to his short attention span, or his desire not to compete against others but to compete against himself, it is me in a young man's body. Thankfully, Bryce loves me and so with his competitive nature put aside, has come to accept his son's personality (so completely polar opposite to his), as well :0)

And for the brothers part.....this picture was just too cute not to include! Love these boys!
