And here we go.....

Oh, where to begin????....back in June, we had an experience. If you want to read about it completely, you can go back to June in 2008 because it was an exact replica to the DATE. One night, we were getting the kids ready for bed. I looked out one of our windows and the first thought I had was, "OH NO, HERE WE GO AGAIN!" We had termites on the outside of our house. It wasn't so bad that night but two nights later was the big swarm where we went on half hourly "termite hunts" through the house with our kleenex boxes, insect spray and toilet paper to kill all of the termites that were coming through the windows, light fixtures, and dropping from the ceiling for four hours. Thousands of the suckers were on the outside and at least a thousand had gotten inside. I was cursing Japan and termites by that point but we survived. We had the house checked and then left a day later for the U.S. While we were being spoiled by Mimi and Papa and loving seeing everyone and everything we could, they were tearing down our walls in the Master bedroom to see what was going on. We got an email a week after we had been home in Indiana telling us that we were going to need to move houses. Thankfully, there are many houses available to choose from (two years ago when we first arrived, there were only 2). We started emailing back and forth and narrowed down the possibilities to 8 houses and made plans to see them when we returned to Japan. In the meantime, we tried to enjoy our time in the U.S. with that lurking over our shoulders.
