So after Isaac's baptism, we headed back to the house for the last night of being all together. I must admit that I had fun having both sets of parents together and honestly, that is the first time we have all been together since Isaac was born! While it was hectic in the house and I worried that the kids would favor certain family members over others, my worries were in vain. For the first time in several months, the kids had a roomful of adults that they loved to go to other than Bryce and I. On Monday morning, the guys went golfing while the girls hung out at the house by the pool and sunned. Grandma and Grandpa Bowman left later that afternoon and then week 2 began.
Luau at King Kamehameha. This luau was more commercialized than the other but still great food and the location was definitely better. The entertainment was great and Tanner graced us with his presence this time and actually danced for quite awhile during this performance!
Hapuna Beach, round 2. This was the day that all three kids ended up in tears but before that, there was great body surfing and boogie boarding!
Christmas Eve...we ate at Bubba Gump Shrimp. Now how many people can say that? Well, other than the rest of the people at the restaurant that night :0) We had yummy food and Tanner decided to get goofy on us!
Christmas morning....Brynnie her usual sunshiney self :0) and

being a goofball. This picture was his idea. He put a piece of toast on the floor and wanted me to take his picture while he was scratching his head and looking perplexed about what Santa had left him. Isaac's favorite present were his Walkie-Talkies and Brynn loved her High School Musical CD. I think she can already sing all of the songs by heart. Tanner loved everything about Christmas and all morning kept looking over at his gifts and saying, "My pesents, Mom, look at my pesents!" I think his favorite is his Hot Wheels race car track, though!

It rained all of Christmas day and the day following which was Eric and Lesley's last day with us in Hawaii. We decided to brave the rain and were glad we did. We headed to the volcano again the 26th and it was much clearer. This is one of the craters and Bryce, Eric and Lesley hiked down into it. Pretty cool!
Friday, we drove through this old lava flow to get to a beach. Let's just say that these were not paved roads...or even gravel...it was LAVA and we are grateful that we were in a rental van and not our own.
Here is the beach that we got to. It had neat tidepools and lots of rocks but a little too rough to swim at. Tanner and my Dad did venture out to the lava that you see in the picture and found a huge sea turtle. When you ask Tanner about what he saw, he will tell you, "I saw turtle. He waved at me!"
