So the Bowman's have added another addition to our family. We are all done with the two legged kind and have decided to go with the four legged kind :0) We researched many breeds and decided upon the Hungarian Vizsla. They are gundogs...a cross between a Weimeraner and a German Short Haired Pointer. We love the look of the dog. We also love that they are called Velcro Vizsla's and LOVE to be with their families. They are a bit more high maintenance as they don't like to be separated from their families, but so far he is a really great dog.
Oh, don't get me wrong....we had a ROUGH start...up in the middle of the night...peeing EVERYWHERE and ALL the time!!!! Looking like drug addicts with teeth marks streaked down our forearms, etc. but now that we are more in tune with his needs, he has stopped weeing (as they say in the UK) on every square inch of the house, and he has bonded with us, we are truly enjoying him. He has become part of the family. He is extremely intelligent. He already knows sit, stay, shake, down, roll over, leave it, peek a boo, come, off (but he doesn't listen to that one very well), and we are working on heel. He does a great job at heeling in the backyard but when we get to the real outside world, all that training goes out the window.
Funny story....he is a very submissive dog and was terrified of all other dogs for weeks. We put him in puppy training school, took him to dog parks, etc. and he would get a little better each time but still had the tail between the legs and ears down. At least he wasn't running away screaming like he did at the beginning. After we went on a family vacation and he stayed with a boarder at her home, he is now much more boisterous and comfortable around other dogs. It was a great experience!

| This is SO true! |

| The first day with Kobe |
| Daddy was out of town when we first brought him home. It didn't take long for him to bond. This is the first half hour after Bryce walked in the door. He RARELY leaves his side now! (which irritates me to no end.....however I can't be too upset. Kobe's and my relationship was strained at the beginning and quite honestly I struggled even liking him at first. We are now much more bonded whereas Bryce and Kobe were AOK from day one.) |

| Want to play? |
| This is where he is any time I am in the kitchen. He loves to be between our feet or knees. |
| Cade and Kobe have a love/hate relationship. They both enjoy each other but they also both love Mommy's lap. The other day, Cade was very needy and was cuddling on my lap for a long time. Kobe came over and tried to get in between us. Cade yells, "NO gog-gog!" (that's what he calls him when he is mad at him). Kobe decided he wasn't going to listen to that so he grabbed Cade's pant leg and was trying to pull him off of my lap so he could climb on. |
| They also both love Bin-B, as Cade calls her, too. |
| A loving moment |
| He LOVES the sunshine! |
| First time off lead at a park. He was SO good. Came right back to us each time we called and ran, and ran, and ran! |
| This was taken just a few nights ago. That CANNOT be comfortable! |
| Can't say he isn't gorgeous! |
