Tanner's Birthday

My baby turned 5 in June....5!!!!! He had a great birthday and was SO excited to celebrate. Truly, it was all about him. He is such a joy in our family. He is our 'wild child' but constantly has us laughing with what we call his "Tannerisms" and we all love him so! He definitely gets away with murder but hey, when you are that cute (biased, yes!), what do you expect? I know, it is totally my fault...I am guilty. I just fear how this next one will turn out with all 5 of us at his beckon call!

Since we were going to be in the U.S. for his actual birthday, we celebrated the Saturday before we left with Daddy. He woke up in the morning and it was all he could do not to open his presents before the rest of us got out of bed. He loved his presents. We had taken him shopping the week before for him to tell us some of the things he really wanted and then I went back to purchase things later that week. That morning, he opened his gifts and kept saying, "This is JUST what I wanted!" We got a pretty good laugh out of that!

We had a fun day overall at Universal Studios in Japan. We hadn't been yet and the kids were excited. Unfortunately, it was pretty busy that day but we purchased the FastPass and so that helped tremendously. We had hoped that there would be more rides for Tanner's age/size and appropriateness and more things for me to do being pregnant but it was not to be so. Isaac and Brynn enjoyed it but Tanner cried on most of the rides that Bryce took him on. They were a bit scary and meant more for older kids. It was just not as kid friendly as we had hoped. Oh well....at least we can say we went and now at least we know :0)
